Patricia Solomon Letlape (left) is the founder of The Fighters Support Group, a platform for men and women undergoing different stages of diagnosis and treatment, to share experiences, motivation and advice. This is done mostly through a Whatsapp group, as well as (literally) holding the hands of those who are undergoing treatment.
As a wife, mother and Survivor of breast cancer, Patricia also makes time to do public speaking about her experience. She continues to be at the forefront of a great support system for the newly diagnosed women that we have introduced to the group through her. We wish her many more years of health and activism! We walked with the Leos Of Phakalane and are now at the Main Mall to conduct breast examinations until 09h00.
On the 13th of October 2018, LEO clubs of Phakalane, LEO Club of Bonnington and LEO club of Academy of Toddlers would be doing Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign at main mall. The activities of the day will start off with a 3 km pink walk from Notwane grounds opposite University of Botswana to main mall where presentations and screening will take place.
We will follow this up with a short talk and self-examination demonstration, followed by FREE breast examinations.
