We are pleased to introduce one tough cookie, who is getting ready to (literally) get down and dirty to fundraise for Journey of Hope Botswana.

Gaborone-based Candice Muir will be taking part in the 5km Muddy Princess Obstacle race, to be held in Johannesburg in March 2018. This mother, sister, friend and person with a disability wants to show that with courage and support, we can overcome many obstacles in life.

To help her beat her P5000.00 target, you can support Candice, by pledging your donation and encouraging her as she gets ready for the challenge.

*EDIT:  We have had enquiries about where to donate for our Muddy Princess entrant, Candice. Let's help her beat her P5000.00 target!

We Can. I Can.
Every year on 04 February, the world unites to commemorate World Cancer Day. Once again, this year, we will be joining forces with other local 'fighters' to remember those who lost the fight, to empathize with those still fighting, and to celebrate those who have fought and won against different types of cancer.
Visit www.worldcancerday.org for more details, and we will also provide updates about where and how it will be commemorated locally.

    About

The Journey of Hope Botswana is a not for profit organisation of volunteers whose aim is to promote breast cancer awareness in the country.

Since breast cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer, early detection is a crucial part of the Journey of Hope Botswana mission.

The number of new cases of breast cancer and breast cancer deaths in sub-Saharan Africa is rising. Many women in Botswana, particularly in remote areas, die needlessly from a lack of information and awareness of the disease. Visiting rural areas and speaking to these women is imperative.

For this reason Journey of Hope Botswana runs an annual Big Journey, in which volunteers, many of whom are breast cancer survivors, embark on an odyssey, riding pink scooters to spread breast cancer awareness in Botswana.
